Recently, the review results for Shandong Provincial‑level Industrial Design Centers issued by the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology were released. The Industrial Design Center of Shandong China Coal Industry and Mining Materials Group Co., Ltd. has successfully passed the review.
Officially established in 2015, the center was accredited as Jining Municipal Industrial Design Center in 2021 and Shandong Provincial‑level Industrial Design Center in 2022. It serves as the core innovation and R&D platform for the group’s mining equipment business. Covering an R&D site of 1,000 square meters, the center has built a professional R&D team of 38 members covering machinery, electrical engineering, software development, AI and other fields.
Adhering to the design philosophy of “Safety, Efficiency, Intelligence, Reliability and Customization”, the center devotes itself to the R&D of mine support equipment, transportation equipment, intelligent equipment and industrial internet platforms. It has obtained more than 150 patents and over 110 software copyrights, undertaken 5 provincial‑ministerial‑level research projects, and realized industrialization of multiple innovative achievements. Its products have obtained over 100 MA safety certifications for coal‑mine products and are exported to 176 countries and regions worldwide.
Focusing on independent innovation and in‑depth industry‑university‑research integration, the center improves the full‑process R&D and achievement transformation mechanism. While driving enterprise‑oriented product iteration and upgrading, it provides customized design, technical empowerment, personnel training and other public services for small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises in the industry, giving full play to the exemplary and driving effect of this provincial‑level platform.
Passing this review represents authoritative recognition of the center’s industrial design and innovation capabilities. Going forward, Shandong China Coal Group will keep increasing investment in technical research, advance the intelligent and green upgrading of mining equipment, and contribute to the high‑quality development of Shandong’s equipment manufacturing industry.
